Landon Bolling of James River shot six under par to win medalist honors at the Olde Mill Golf Course last week in a Three Rivers tournament hosted by Carroll County.
Floyd County won the round with a score of 309 but River was just five strokes behind. Bolling was medalist by eight strokes on the par 72 course. Also scoring for River were Mason Gilliland with a 75, Braden Persinger at 79 and first year golfer Tucker Hall with a 94.
The district was scheduled to be back at Olde Mill on Tuesday of this week for a match hosted by Patrick County. The Knights will have a match with Glenvar at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club on Thursday of this week.
