Lauren Hoffman of Roanoke College, a graduate of Lord Botetourt High, had two hits and two runs batted in to help the Maroons defeat Lynchburg in the ODAC softball tournament at Liberty University Saturday. The top-seeded Maroons advance to a best-of-three with second seed Randolph-Macon on Thursday and Friday of this week for the ODAC championship. That will be held at the Botetourt Sports Complex with a 4 p.m. game Thursday and a 1 p.m. game Friday. If the two teams split, a second game will be played Friday afternoon to determine the champion.
