PUBLIC NOTICE FOR APRIL 21, 2026 SPECIAL ELECTION

In-Person Early Voting Begins: Friday, March
6, 2026 Ends: Saturday, April 18, 2026 @ 5 pm.
All qualified, registered voters are eligible to vote
early during this time

Registration Office
2 East Main Street, Fincastle (corner of Roanoke
& Main Streets)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday Hours: Saturday, April 11, 2026,
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday, April 18, 2026, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
(Final day of early voting)
Deadline to register or update registration:
Tuesday, April 14, 2026
5:00 pm for in-person registrations;
11:59 pm for online registrations
Deadline to request a Vote By Mail ballot:
Friday, April 10, 2026 at 5:00 pm
NOTE: Vote By Mail ballot is the same ballot
used for Early Voting and at polling locations on
Election Day. If you receive a Vote By Mail ballot
and wish to vote in-person during Early Voting or
on Election Day, you must bring the Vote By Mail
package to surrender.

• Voters may personally deliver their marked
ballot to the Department of Elections & Voter
Registration Office during regular business hours.
(Hand-delivered ballots can only be accepted from
voter ballot issued to. All others must go in drop
box or need to be mailed.)
• All polling locations on Election Day, Tuesday,
April 21, 2026, from 6:00 am – 7:00 pm
Proposed Constitutional Amendment on ballot:
Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to
allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt
new congressional districts to restore fairness in
the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia’s
standard redistricting process resumes for all fu
ture redistricting after the 2030 census?
