Rabon (Ray) Brogan, 89, of Troutville, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026 at home with family.
Born on March 23, 1936, Ray was the son of James Earl Brogan and Emma Alberta Davis. He was the owner/operator of Oak Ridge Mobile Home Park for 30 years.
On April 15, 1961, he married Jane Kessler, and together they shared 64 years of marriage filled with love, family, and happiness.
Ray enjoyed working in the yard and driving his tractor, but most of all spending time with his family. Ray was humble but had a sense of humor that was unmatched. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church for 65 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane Kessler Brogan; sons, Mark Brogan (Annie) of Bedford, and Craig Brogan (Peggy) of Mansfield, Ga.; grandchildren, Jake Brogan (Maggie) of Augusta, Ga., and Cassie Brogan of Buchanan; and sister, Shelby Vaught (Bill) of Rich Creek, Va. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
A graveside service will be held on February 18 at 2 p.m. in Trinity Cemetery in Daleville.
