The Botetourt Retired Educators were not able to meet for over a year because of COVID-19.  Fortunately, they have been able to complete some of their projects during the year.

In November 2020, donations were made to the Botetourt Food Pantry. Donations were made to the Cave Creek Assisted Living Facility in December. A $1,000 scholarship was presented to a Sophie Rakes, a senior at Lord Botetourt High School. Books were purchased for each of Botetourt County Schools’ libraries. Even though the members were unable to meet in person, they managed to complete these worthwhile projects during the year.

The BRE will have a summer meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 28, , at Bellacino’s in Daleville. Members will order from the regular menu. Dues may be paid for the 2021-2022 year. Dues are $35. Donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund and to the Book Fund.  A short business meeting will be held and there will be the opportunity for members to have a time of fellowship. Current members will receive an email or a telephone call about the meeting. If you do not receive a call and have questions, contact Susan Martin at 473-2636.
