Beginning Monday, March 30, a section of Old Fincastle Road north of Fincastle will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for approximately two weeks for a culvert pipe replacement. The section is located between Peck Lane and West Wind Road just south of 1445 Old Fincastle Road and will be closed to through traffic. Residents will have access to their homes on either side of the closure.
For morning commutes requiring access to Route 220 (Botetourt Road), drivers can detour around the closure using Old Fincastle Road to West Wind Road, then taking Mary Alice Road to Route 220. The closure will be reopened to traffic Monday through Friday at 5 p.m., and during weekends.
Work is expected to be completed by April 10, weather permitting.
