The DEA National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be two locations in Botetourt – Kroger in Daleville and Ransone’s Drug in Buchanan.

Turning in unused, unwanted and expired medications for safe disposal can help prevent drug abuse and protect waterways. No needles will be collected. No appointment is necessary.

The event is sponsored by
Roanoke Area Substance Abuse Coalition, Western Virginia Water Authority, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Prevention Council of Roanoke County, Virginia Department of Health,
Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare and local police and sheriff departments.

For more information and permanent drop box locations, visit www.westernvawater.org or www.raysac.org.
