The Lord Botetourt and James River volleyball teams will have their first varsity matches of the season this week with home, road matches.
The first day of the VHSL regular season was Tuesday, and both Botetourt County teams had home matches. Lord Botetourt was scheduled to host Patrick Henry and Staunton River was at James River.
On Thursday both teams hit the road. LB is at Christiansburg for a match against the Blue Demons, who finished second in the state in Class 3 last season. James River has a non-district match at Parry McCluer.
