Saville, Nona King

Nona Joyce King Saville, 90, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Honts Saville, Jr.; parents, Howard Clayton King and Emma Clyde Austin King; brother and sister-in-law, Linwood and Jean King.

Nona was a registered nurse for over 35 years; she started at the C&O Hospital and transitioned to Alleghany Regional Hospital and retired from there. Nona was an active gardener, loved canning, anything outdoors, the YMCA water aerobics, playing cards and bingo with friends. She was an active church member attending Longdale Baptist Church and Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, Sidney H. III “Rusty” and Natalie Caldwell Saville, Dale and Lorri McClung Saville; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Saville Johns and Darryl Johns; grandchildren, Ezekial “Zeke” and Luke Saville, Ben and Kristen Saville, Josh Saville, Robbie Saville and fiancée, Emma Reed; Taylor Johns Poole and Evan Poole, Charlie and Shiloh Johns; great-grandchildren, Riley and Rowan Poole, and Trace Johns; brother and sister-in-law, David and Carolyn King; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Nona’s caregivers, Missy Johns, Pam Young, and Sam Harlow.

The family will receive friends at Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Emily Hook officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
